Ron Lavi serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Bath. His research focuses on market design, auction theory, and algorithmic mechanism design. Dr. Lavi investigates efficient allocation mechanisms under information constraints and develops pricing algorithms with applications to digital markets.
Primary research examines incentive-compatible mechanism design, fairness in resource allocation, and learning-based pricing strategies. His work combines game theory with computational methods to solve market efficiency problems.
Lavi's publications demonstrate strong emphasis on theoretical foundations of market mechanisms. Recent advancements include dynamic pricing frameworks with vanishing regret and unified approaches to fair allocation problems.
Dr. Lavi co-leads projects on auction design and welfare optimization funded through the SWDTP Academic-Led Collaboration grant. He has presented research at AAAI and other major conferences.
