Romana Pernisch

Romana Pernisch is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, affiliated with both the Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence group and the Discovery Lab. Her work bridges Knowledge Graph Evolution with Software Engineering approaches to enable dynamic KG lifecycles.

Romana's research spans Knowledge Graph Lifecycle Management, Ontology Evolution, and Robotic Knowledge Acquisition. Her recent publications focus on ontology change propagation, agricultural knowledge modeling (CoPla), and robotic perception systems. She participated in the CIRES-WWW25 Visiting Scheme at the CIRES Centre in Brisbane (May 2025).
