Achim Rettinger

Achim Rettinger is a full professor at Trier University, leading the research group krAil (Knowledge Representation Learning). He specializes in machine learning, natural language understanding, and human-centered AI. His work focuses on expressive knowledge representations and their applications in semantic technologies.

Education: Studied Computer Science at Universität Koblenz (Germany), University of Georgia (USA), and University of Alberta (Canada). PhD in machine learning at TU Munich/Siemens AG, followed by habilitation at KIT (2016). Served as interim professor at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (2018/19).
