Prof. Dr. Roman Trötschel is a Professor of Social-, Organizational, and Political Psychology at Leuphana University in Germany, leading the Negotiation Research Group (NRG). His work focuses on decision-making processes in complex negotiation contexts, including business, policy, and societal settings. He has secured funding from prestigious institutions such as the European Union Regional Development Fund (ERDF), German Research Foundation (DFG), Volkswagen Foundation, and Hans Böckler Foundation.
Research interests include cognitive heuristics (e.g., anchoring, framing), mental accounting, strategic mindsets (integrative vs. distributive approaches), group dynamics, and resource allocation strategies. His projects address challenges in multi-stakeholder negotiations, uncertainty management, and long-term societal conflicts.
