Roman Kraussl

Roman Kraussl is a Professor of Finance at Bayes Business School (part of the University of London), where he holds the title of Professor of Finance. He concurrently serves as a Visiting Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and holds Research Fellow positions at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and the Center for Financial Studies (CFS). His academic career includes leadership roles, such as Head of Quantitative Research at Cognitrend GmbH, a Deutsche Bank spin-off specializing in Behavioral Finance.

Kraussl earned his PhD in Financial Economics from Goethe University Frankfurt’s Center for Financial Studies. His research focuses on Alternative Investments, including private equity, infrastructure, art markets, and green finance. Notably, he has advised on art valuation, constructed art market indices, and explored NFT markets. His work appears in leading journals like the Journal of Finance and Management Science, and has been featured in major media outlets like the Wall Street Journal and CNBC.

He has taught (Executive) MBA courses at institutions including the Amsterdam School of Finance and Goizueta Business School. His recent publications analyze NFT pricing dynamics, venture-stage art investing, and ESG investing trends. Kraussl’s research bridges academic finance with real-world applications in art, technology, and sustainable finance.
