Rolf Kristian Baltzersen

Rolf Kristian Baltzersen is a Professor at the Department of Education, ICT and Learning (PIL) at Østfold University College, within the Faculty of Education. He has been a faculty member since 2004, promoted to Professor in 2015. His academic journey includes a PhD completed in 2017 and a visiting scholar position at the University of Toronto (2012–2013). He has held roles such as Coordinator of the part-time Practical Pedagogical Education program and has contributed to projects like the Learning Networks in Østfold.

His research focuses on Collective Intelligence, Open Educational Resources, Digital Storytelling, and Pedagogical Use of Technology. He emphasizes innovative teaching methods, including peer teaching and collaborative learning, and has developed open digital resources like Practice Guide in School and Digital Stories in School. His work integrates Cultural-Historical Activity Theory (CHAT) to explore reflective teaching practices and educational systems.
