Rolf Kristensen is a Professor at the Department of Rhythmic Music, University of Agder. He teaches guitar and ensemble collaboration, coordinates international exchange programs, and leads the research group for performing rhythmic music. His work bridges academic instruction with active musical performance and production.
Research Interests: Kristensen focuses on guitar pedagogy, rhythmic music performance, and interdisciplinary collaborations. He explores harmonic concepts (e.g., his 2006 publication Voicing), improvisation techniques, and cross-genre ensemble work.
