Rolf Hugoson is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science, Umeå University, within the Faculty of Social Sciences. His research focuses on policy analysis and rhetorical theory, with empirical emphases on cultural policy, diplomacy & armed conflict, urban history, and life science collaboration. He leads the EU-funded SOLH project (2021) and co-organized the 2022 Nordic conference 'Städer i Norr'.
