Prof. Roland Hardenberg is a distinguished academic at Goethe University Frankfurt, leading the Frobenius Institute for Cultural Anthropological Research since 2017. His expertise spans cultural anthropology, focusing on resource cultures, religious dynamics, and socio-cultural processes in South and Central Asia, as well as Europe. He actively collaborates with archaeologists, historians, and natural scientists to bridge interdisciplinary gaps. Current research includes landscape perception in Spain (DFG-funded), religious speech dynamics in Asia, and cultural resource studies in Iran via DAAD partnerships.
