Roland Frohman

Roland Frohman serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at the College for Creative Studies, teaching in the User Experience Design program since 2023 while concurrently leading BISSELL Connect & IoT initiatives at BISSELL Homecare.

• MFA in User Experience Design, College for Creative Studies
• BA in Japanese & Asian Studies, University of Michigan

Research Focus: His work investigates physical-digital convergence in connected product ecosystems, emphasizing IoT devices, spatial computing interfaces, and emerging technologies including AR/VR/XR, voice interfaces, and AI-driven interactions. He develops frameworks for seamless cross-platform experiences that bridge industrial design and digital interaction.

Professional Practice: With nearly a decade of experience evolving from mobile/web interfaces to IoT ecosystems, Frohman directs BISSELL's digital transformation of connected home products through mobile applications, voice interfaces, and AR implementations. His industry expertise directly informs academic curriculum development for automotive and XR design studios.
