Rohan Jayaratne

Dr. Rohan Jayaratne is a Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology's International Laboratory for Air Quality and Health. His research focuses on airborne particle measurement, low-cost sensor validation, and environmental exposure assessment. Current projects examine particle formation mechanisms, bushfire pollution impacts, and children's exposure to air pollutants.

Publications address sensor technology performance, new particle formation events, and urban air quality monitoring. He co-developed the KOALA air quality sensor network and validates low-cost PM2.5 sensors for environmental applications across diverse settings including schools and urban centers.
