Rogier Holtermans is an Associate Professor of Real Estate Finance at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, University of Guelph. He holds a PhD in Finance from Maastricht University and previously served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Southern California Lusk Center for Real Estate. His research focuses on climate change impacts, energy efficiency, and sustainability in real estate markets, with secondary interests in commercial real estate returns and information asymmetry dynamics.

Research emphasizes quantifying climate risks in commercial real estate valuation, energy efficiency adoption barriers, and green building certification effects. Recent work explores how extreme weather events affect property values and mortgage delinquency rates.
