Roger Tobin is a Professor of Physics & Astronomy at Tufts University, affiliated with the School of Arts and Sciences. His research spans experimental condensed matter physics and physics education, with a focus on surface science and K-12 science curriculum development. Tobin earned his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and has held academic positions at Tufts since 1995. He leads a lab at 574 Boston Ave, studying surface chemistry applications in catalysis and nanotechnology. In education, he collaborates on elementary science curricula and studies active learning strategies in college classrooms.
