Roger Tam is an Associate Professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME) at the University of British Columbia (UBC), with a joint appointment in the Department of Radiology. He is also the Associate Director of Graduate Studies. His research focuses on machine learning and computer vision applied to medical imaging, particularly in personalized medicine and quantitative image analysis. Tam earned his PhD in computer science from UBC in 2004, specializing in computational geometry and visualization.
