Roger L. Miesfeld is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Arizona, housed within the College of Chemistry and Biochemistry. His research focuses on understanding metabolic pathways and biological processes in mosquitoes, particularly Aedes aegypti, to develop strategies for controlling diseases like malaria and dengue fever. He holds a BS and MS from San Diego State University and a PhD from Stony Brook University, followed by postdoctoral training at UCSF.
