Roger Dillemans is an Honorary Rector of KU Leuven, previously serving as Rector from 1985 to 1995. He holds a professorship in Law and Philosophy, specializing in family law, social law, and social security. His career includes roles as visiting professor at King’s College London and advisor to Belgian government officials. He championed social equity, founding the Roger Dillemans Fund to support scholarships for underprivileged students pursuing advanced degrees.
Education: Studied Law, Notarial Sciences, and Philosophy at KU Leuven, earning top honors. Pursued a Master of Laws at Harvard (A+), winning the Addison Brown Prize. Married to Solange, with four sons and multiple grandchildren.
