Professor Roey Sweet is a Professor of Urban History at the University of Leicester, currently serving as Director of the Centre for Urban History. He holds a DPhil in History from Oxford and has been affiliated with Leicester since 1998. His research focuses on 18th-century British urban and cultural history, with recent extensions into 19th-century studies. He previously served as Director of Partnerships and Engagement at the AHRC (2018-19).
