معرفی
Roeland Boot is a PhD Candidate at Utrecht University's Faculty of Science, affiliated with the Freudenthal Institute for science education research. He has been teaching high school and pre-university physics since 1992 while conducting computational modeling research. His work focuses on integrating computational modeling into secondary physics education through Lesson Study, developing student-driven research materials.
Research interests include:
- Computational modeling in physics education
- Modeling competence development
- Science pedagogy through computer simulations
- Interdisciplinary teaching approaches
Notable publications (2017-2024) explore uranium glass radiation sources, roller coaster physics, and quantum mechanics teaching. Research funded by NRO (National Education Research Organisation). He also serves as an editor for the Dutch Journal of Physics and works as a teacher educator.
