Rodrigo Schames Kreitchmann

Rodrigo Schames Kreitchmann is an Adjunct Professor at the IE School of Science and Technology, IE University, Spain. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology (2022) and a Master's in Methodology of Behavioral Sciences (2015) from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), alongside a Psychology Degree from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil (2013). His academic career includes roles as a Professor in Training at UAM (2018–2022) and multiple research assistant positions in institutions like the Chair in Psychometric Models and Applications (UAM, 2016–2017) and IE Business School (2016).

His research focuses on psychometrics and data analytics, specializing in continuous latent variable models for compositional data (e.g., ipsative response data) and discrete latent variable models for competence assessment (cognitive diagnosis models). He has been recognized for teaching excellence, earning UAM's Teaching Excellence Award.

Rodrigo’s professional experience spans academic and corporate roles, including research at the Instituto da Família de Porto Alegre (2010–2013) and Casa do Psicólogo (2009–2010). His work bridges statistical methodology with practical applications in psychology and education.
