Rodolfo Quarto is a Full Professor at the Department of Experimental Medicine (DIMES) of the University of Genoa. His academic roles include teaching Animal Biology, Applied Biology, and Cell Biology Applied to Biomedicine across multiple master's degree programs, such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, Medicine and Surgery, and Medical-Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. He is a member of the Academic Senate, reflecting his institutional leadership.
Research interests span cellular biology, biomedical applications, and materials science. His work focuses on extracellular vesicles, targeted drug delivery via click chemistry, osteointegration of biomaterials, and miRNA-based cancer diagnostics. His recent publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches in biomedicine and material engineering.
