Rodolfo Hernandez-Perez

Rodolfo Hernandez-Perez is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Geosciences at Texas Tech University. His work bridges anthropology and Science & Technology Studies (STS) to examine environmental governance, public participation in science, and socioenvironmental risk management. He has conducted international research across the U.S., China, and Colombia, focusing on air quality, compound natural hazards, and community-driven science policy frameworks.

• Co-production of Science, Technology & Innovation (ST&I) policies
• Linguistic and knowledge gaps in disaster preparedness for Hispanic/Latinx communities
• Socioenvironmental land planning
• Science communication practices via the Clackers collective
