Alessandra Jerolleman is the Director of Research at Loyola University New Orleans' Center on Environment, Land, and Law. She serves as the National Climate Justice Lead for the Climate Adaptation Science Centers, a community resilience specialist at the Lowlander Center, and co-founder of Hazard Resilience, a consultancy focused on disaster recovery and hazard policy.

Her work spans public, private, and nonprofit domains, including coastal community resettlement initiatives with the First Peoples’ Conservation Council and child-focused resilience planning with Save the Children USA. She emphasizes policy development, stakeholder training, and community education in hazard preparedness.
Publications: Her recent work includes the publication Disaster Recovery Through the Lens of Justice and co-authorship of textbooks on hazard mitigation and private sector roles in disasters.
Organizations: Dr. Jerolleman co-founded the Natural Hazard Mitigation Association (NHMA) and led its executive operations for seven years. She also contributes to resilience planning and disaster risk reduction through partnerships with Save the Children USA, the Lowlander Center, and the First Peoples’ Conservation Council.
