Rodney C. Austin

Rodney C. Austin is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Geneva College, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. He teaches a range of courses including General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry, and has developed innovative interdisciplinary curricula focused on global water issues.

His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati (2000) and a B.S. from Mount Vernon Nazarene College (1992).

Dr. Austin's research spans environmental chemistry, biochemistry, and chemical education. He actively involves students in projects such as water quality analysis, phytochrome protein characterization, and pharmaceutical testing.
