Dr. Roddy Hunter is a faculty member at The Glasgow School of Art, serving as Programme Leader, Master of Fine Art (MFA) and Postgraduate Programme Director in the School of Fine Art. He is an artist, curator, educator, and researcher with expertise in performance, conceptual, and new media art, focusing on the intersection of social and technological infrastructures with identity and artistic practice.
- Collaborated with Professor Sarah Cook on Networked Art Practice After Digital Preservation, contributing to The Black Box Book. Archives and Curatorship in the Age of Transformation of Art Institutions (2023).
- Current projects include Curating The Digital Attic Archive, co-developed with Dr. Judit Bodor, exploring open-source approaches to artists' archives.
- Supervises PhD students researching topics like digital media anxieties, conceptual states in art, and self-archiving practices.
