Rocío Medellín Soliván serves as a Part-Time Faculty member and Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow at The New School for Social Research, The New School, with affiliation to the Safran Center for Psychological Services.
Her research specializes in religious deconversion processes and intersectional feminism, examining the psychological and sociocultural dynamics of religious identity transitions and feminist frameworks across intersecting social categories. This work bridges clinical psychology with critical social theory.
She actively contributes to clinical training programs through the Safran Center, having taught Counseling Center Test Supervision (GPSY 7020) and First Year Training Clinic Practice (GPSY 6905) in Spring 2025, with Ethnicity in Clinical Theory/P (GPSY 7012) scheduled for Fall 2025. Her instruction emphasizes clinical applications of intersectional approaches in therapeutic settings.
