Rocco Catrone

Rocco Catrone is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Applied Behavior Analysis at The Chicago School. His research focuses on improving training methods for caregivers and healthcare staff in developmental disabilities, analyzing stigma, and creating protocols to reduce prejudice. He leads the Behavioral Leadership in Education, Novel Science, and Dissemination (BLEND) research lab.

• Education: BA in Psychology and Intercultural Studies (2013) from Elmhurst College, MS (2015) and PhD (2020) in Behavior Analysis from Southern Illinois University.

His work emphasizes Relational Frame Theory (RFT) to address societal stigma, with a focus on gene-brain-behavior interactions, verbal behavior, and supporting families through stressor management. Recent publications include studies on capability perception frameworks and environmental design for neurodiverse populations.

Dr. Catrone is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) and member of Applied Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), and Illinois Association for Behavior Analysis (ILABA). He received grant funding for projects creating "capable environments" through staff training and stigma reduction.
