Her work emphasizes early intervention strategies and addresses the psychosocial impacts of stuttering, including links to social anxiety. Key research areas include treatment efficacy evaluation, cost-benefit analyses of stuttering interventions, and global health perspectives on communication disorders.
Recent publications (2023-2025) explore social anxiety development in childhood stuttering, treatment innovations, and mental health correlations. She supervises Masters and PhD students in related areas. Professional contributions include editorial work and conference presentations on evidence-based practice in speech pathology.
Lowe's research also investigates natural recovery patterns in early stuttering and economic aspects of stuttering management, contributing to both clinical practice and public health policy.
