Robyn Katz is an Adjunct Professor of Law at St. Mary’s University School of Law and teaches Family Law in the Master’s of Legal Studies program at Texas State University’s Department of Political Science. She concurrently serves as City Attorney and City Prosecutor for multiple Central Texas municipalities, General Counsel for two Texas Economic Development Corporations, and holds legal licenses in Texas, New Jersey, and Colorado.

Her practice focuses on Animal Law, Criminal Law, and Municipal Law. Notable areas of expertise include the intersection of animal cruelty and family violence, legislative advocacy for enhanced animal cruelty penalties, and prosecutorial strategies in family violence cases. She has presented before Texas legislative committees and at conferences hosted by the Texas District and County Attorney Association, South Texas College of Law, and University of Texas School of Law.
Professional experience includes 5 years as an Assistant District Attorney in Bexar and Comal Counties, family law practice, and 5 years in public education. She chaired the State Bar of Texas Animal Law Section Council and remains active in pro bono animal law advocacy.
