Robinder P. Bedi is a Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, and Special Education at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He specializes in Counselling Psychology, with a focus on Cultural Psychology, Multicultural Counselling Competencies, and integrating Indigenous Psychologies into Western practices. His work addresses Counselling with Men and Masculinity, Folk Models of Illness, and Cultural Adaptation of Psychotherapy, particularly for Punjabi Sikh and Asian-Indian populations.
Research Trends: Recent publications analyze the ideological underpinnings of Western psychotherapy, gender dynamics in Indian counselling, and program evaluations for immigrant/refugee trauma interventions.
