Robin Polt is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Arizona. His research focuses on glycobiology, particularly the roles of cell-surface carbohydrates in biological processes such as embryogenesis, cellular differentiation, and tumor metastasis.
- Degrees: B.S. from Indiana U.-Purdue U. Indianapolis (1981), Ph.D. from Columbia University (1986), Postdoctoral Fellow at ETH Zurich (1986-1988).
His specialties include bioorganic chemistry, chemical biology, metabolism, signaling, protein and membrane biochemistry, and synthetic methods development. He is currently accepting students for research opportunities.
