Robin McKnight is a Professor of Economics at Wellesley College. She holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. from Amherst College. Her research focuses on the economics of health insurance, government intervention in healthcare markets, and health policy analysis.
Research Interests:
- Medicare policy impacts and cost-sharing effects
- Public health insurance expansion and labor market interactions
- Economic analysis of school shootings and firearm policies
- Healthcare cost containment strategies
Teaching: She teaches courses in probability and statistical methods (Econ 103), intermediate microeconomics (Econ 201), and advanced health economics (Econ 332), emphasizing empirical research methods and policy applications.
