Robin Maril is an Assistant Professor of Law at Willamette University College of Law, teaching Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. She brings 12 years of advocacy experience including roles as Associate Legal Director at the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and Presidential Management Fellow at HUD.
Her scholarship examines democratic defense against fascism/authoritarianism, with media engagements on LGBTQ+ rights and judicial systems. She hosts "The Future is Queer" podcast exploring democracy through queer perspectives and will publish "Democratic Defense and Queer Rights" with Cambridge University Press in 2025.
Awards include the 2024 Robert L. Misner Award for nationally influential legal scholarship. She holds degrees from University of Oklahoma and Temple University Beasley School of Law.
