Dr. Robin Hausheer is an Associate Professor of Counseling at the University of Vermont, leading the School Counseling Track and serving as CACREP Liaison. She holds an Ed.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Boise State University. Her research focuses on substance misuse prevention (especially underage drinking), bystander bullying intervention, implicit bias in education, and school counseling program evaluation. She has led over $4.2 million in grants including an NIH subaward for bullying intervention and HRSA BHWET grants. Notable awards include the 2019 North Atlantic Region New Professional of the Year Award.
Her teaching emphasizes program development and evidence-based practices for school counselors. She has published extensively on topics like parent-focused prevention strategies, bystander intervention efficacy, and counselor training methodologies. Current initiatives include evaluating a bystander bullying intervention (STAC) in rural schools and developing implicit bias training for educators.
