Robin Dommisse

Robin Dommisse is a Researcher at the Bureau of Economic Geology, The University of Texas at Austin. He holds a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from UT Austin and a Propaedeuse in Geology from the Free University of Amsterdam.

His expertise spans integrated 3D geocellular modeling, seismic interpretation, reservoir simulation, and sequence stratigraphic analysis. He collaborates with multidisciplinary teams on regional and reservoir-scale studies in the Permian Basin and Gulf Coast, focusing on unconventional plays and CO2 sequestration.

Recent research highlights include building regional geomodels for the Midland Basin, Delaware Basin, and Eagle Ford Formation, integrating seismic, log, and production data to improve reservoir characterization. Collaborations with Dr. Charles Kerans and the late Dr. Steve Ruppel have been pivotal.
