Roberto Tinajero is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Linguistics & Rhetoric at the University of North Texas Dallas. He serves as Program Coordinator for the English and Writing Program and has contributed to the design of the Applied English program and the Rhetoric and Writing Studies minor.
- Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Writing Studies from UT-El Paso
- Master's in Creative Writing (University of Houston) and Theological Studies (Southern Methodist University)
- BA in English and Religion from Austin College
His research focuses on Hip Hop rhetoric, Critical Race Theory, and the history of composition studies in the U.S. Dr. Tinajero teaches courses connecting writing, rhetoric, and culture, and has published academic articles alongside two books of poetry.
