Roberto Serrano

Roberto Serrano is the Harrison S. Kravis University Professor of Economics at Brown University, where he has been a faculty member since 1992 and a full professor since 1997. His research focuses on economic theory and game theory, with contributions to implementation, bargaining, cooperative game analysis, and welfare economics. Born in Madrid, Spain, he holds a B.A. from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1987) and a Ph.D. from Harvard University (1992). He has held visiting positions at institutions including the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton), Hebrew University (Jerusalem), and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona).

His research has been funded by organizations such as the National Science Foundation, Binational Science Foundation, and Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Notable awards include the Fundación Banco Herrero Prize (2004) and the William G. McLoughlin Award for Teaching Excellence (1999).
