Roberta Sellaro is an Associate Professor at the Department of Developmental Psychology and Socialization, University of Padova. She graduated in Psychology in 2007 from the University of Padova and earned her PhD in Cognitive and Brain Sciences from the University of Trento in 2013.
- Specializes in multimodal neuroimaging, computational neuroscience, and psychophysiological methods
- Expertise in cognitive, affective, and behavioral neuroscience
- Uses tyrosine, tryptophan, probiotics, tDCS, and tVNS in research
Her research explores the interplay between bottom-up and top-down cognitive control processes, focusing on environmental/contextual factors, reward systems, and individual differences in cognitive flexibility. She integrates behavioral, psychophysiological, and virtual reality techniques to study cognitive control efficiency in healthy and psychiatric populations. Current collaborations span national and international institutions, with over 50 peer-reviewed publications and editorial roles in cognitive neuroscience journals.
