Robert Winn serves as Professor of History and Department Chair at Northwestern College. He earned his Ph.D. in Early Christian Studies from The Catholic University of America, with focused examination areas in Late Antique history and Greek and Latin Patristics.

Dr. Winn's research centers on the religious and intellectual history of Late Antiquity and the early Middle Ages. His current work examines Arnobius of Sicca's Adversus Nationes and Christian apologetics during the Diocletian era, with recent contributions to the forthcoming Dictionary of Christian Apologists and Critics.
Among his accolades, he was awarded Northwestern College's Excellence in Faith and Learning Award in 2020.
