Robert W. Sobol is a Professor at the Brown University in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and serves as the Associate Director for Basic Research and co-Leader of the Cancer Biology Program at the Legorreta Cancer Center. His research focuses on the DNA base excision repair pathway, Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) activation, and mechanisms of resistance to PARP inhibitors in cancer therapy.
