Dr. Robert Munro is a Senior Lecturer in Film and Media at Queen Margaret University (QMU), where he has been since 2018. He serves as Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Film and Media and the PG Cert in Film and Screen Education. His research focuses on Scottish cinema, cultural policy, and film education. He is Managing Editor of the Film Education Journal and is editing an Edinburgh University Press volume on Anthony Mann's films.

Research Interests:
Investigates literary adaptation, national cinema, film education efficacy, and cultural policy within small national cinemas. Utilizes textual analysis and creative practice methods. Teaching and Supervision:
Oversees modules like Scotland on Screen, Video Essay, and Media Industries. Supervises PhD research on topics such as film practice, screen education, and Scottish film industries. Current students include Kenny Glenaan (ethnographic film on nuclear deterrence) and Jennifer Souter (grassroots filmmaking history).
