Robert McMurray

Robert McMurray is a Lecturer at the School of Engineering, Ulster University, with active research contributions in drone control systems, reinforcement learning, and engineering education. He is based at the Belfast campus and serves as a key member of the Engineering Research group.

Recent research focuses on applying digital twin technology and AI-driven control strategies to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), particularly the MADNI drone platform. His work explores hybrid control systems for adverse conditions, obstacle avoidance algorithms, and tactile force prediction models using deep learning.
