Robert McKenzie is an Associate Professor in the Humanities Department at Northumbria University. He specializes in sociolinguistics, particularly focusing on language attitudes and social psychology of language variation. He leads the Speaking of Prejudice Project, examining linguistic prejudice in England. With a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, he previously taught at the University of Glasgow and holds degrees in Psychology and Applied Linguistics.
