Dr Anna Tristram is a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics, funded by a Daphne Jackson Trust Fellowship from the British Academy. Her research focuses on sociolinguistic variation and change, language attitudes, and historical French linguistics.

Her current project investigates linguistic variation in Corby, Northants, comparing historical and new corpora to analyze how migration impacts dialect evolution in small-town contexts. Dr Tristram's recent publications address inclusive writing in French, temporal reference systems, and agreement patterns in morphosyntax. She contributes to theoretical and applied linguistics through mixed-method research combining computational and traditional sociolinguistic approaches.
