Robert McCoy is an Associate Professor of History at Washington State University (WSU), affiliated with the Department of History within the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on public history, historic preservation, and U.S. history with an emphasis on memory and historical narratives. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside (2002).
McCoy’s work interrogates the creation of historical narratives through studies of Indigenous communities in the Pacific Northwest, including the Nez Perce and Yakima peoples.
