Robert Kordts is a Professor in the Department of Pedagogy at the University of Bergen (UiB), affiliated with the UiB Learning Lab and multiple research groups including the Research Group for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and the Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (TeLEd) research group. He also collaborates with the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) research group on University Pedagogy.
His research focuses on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), emotions in teaching, curriculum design, sustainability in higher education, and the integration of generative AI in pedagogy. His work bridges empirical research with practical academic development, emphasizing sustainable and evidence-based teaching practices.
His recent publications highlight trends in student feedback systems (e.g., Teaching Analysis Poll), active learning in geosciences, emotional dynamics in teaching, and the transformative role of generative AI in educational development. These works reflect a strong interdisciplinary approach grounded in pedagogy, psychology, and higher education policy.
