معرفی
Dr. Robert Koller is a researcher at Research Center Jülich, where he leads the 'Enabling Technologies' group within the Plant Sciences (IBG-2) department. His expertise spans soil ecology, plant biotic and abiotic interactions, and plant phenotyping technology development, with recent extensions to sustainable bioeconomy and seed sciences.
Education:
- Biology studies at Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany) and Université de Bordeaux I (France) (1997–2007)
- Ph.D. in Biology from Technical University of Darmstadt and Université de Lorraine (2009), supervised by Prof. Dr. Stefan Scheu and Dr. Christophe Robin
Research Focus: Koller’s work emphasizes developing technologies for seed and plant phenotyping, plant carbon allocation, nutrient uptake, and interactions with biotic and abiotic factors. His research integrates advanced sensor applications in agrorobotics and digital agriculture through the Excellence Cluster PhenoRob.
Professional Affiliations:
- Member of the Ecology Society of Germany and German Soil Society
- Co-Chair of the Advanced Sensor Application (ASA) working group in the International Plant Phenotyping Network (IPPN)
Labs and Teams: Since 2017, Koller has headed the 'Enabling Technologies' group at Plant Sciences (IBG-2), contributing to interdisciplinary collaborations in plant biotechnology and sustainability.
