Robert Kluender is a Professor in the Department of Linguistics at the University of California, San Diego. His research focuses on sentence processing using neurolinguistic methods, particularly event-related brain potentials (ERP), with a specialization in the grammatical status and processing profile of sentences containing long-distance dependencies such as relative clauses and wh-questions.
He has delivered notable video lectures including Exploring The Human-Ape Paradox - Language (November 13, 2020) and Domestication and Human Evolution (October 10, 2014). His work bridges linguistic theory with cognitive neuroscience, exploring how syntactic structures are processed in the brain.
