Dr. Robert Kirkman is an Associate Professor in the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy at Georgia Institute of Technology. His research explores ethical action, the intersection of ethics and music, and innovative teaching methodologies in ethics. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from SUNY Stony Brook and a B.A. in Philosophy and History from Miami University. Key areas of expertise include environmental ethics, engineering ethics, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. His work examines values in urban development, ethical cognition, and the design of problem-based curricula. Notable publications include The Ethics of Metropolitan Growth and Skeptical Environmentalism.
