Robert Heyer

Prof. Robert Heyer is a Research Group Leader at the Leibniz Institute for Analytical Sciences (ISAS) and holds a Professorship in Bioinformatics at Bielefeld University through a Jülich model collaboration. His research focuses on software development for omics data analysis, microbiome characterization, and linking high-resolution omics data with biological modeling. He leads the Multidimensional Omics Data Analysis (MdOA) group at ISAS.

Education Background: PhD in bioinformatics focusing on microbiome analysis in anaerobic digestion plants, followed by postdoc work at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg in databases and software engineering.
