Robert H. Davis is a Professor of Theatre at The Hartt School, University of Hartford, serving as a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher with over 35 years of professional experience as an actor, director, and voice/dialect coach.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Kenyon College and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Ohio University.
Davis specializes in theatre performance disciplines with core expertise in voice training, Shakespearean interpretation, and dialect coaching. His professional practice bridges academic instruction with extensive regional theatre work across America, emphasizing embodied vocal techniques and classical text analysis.
His notable awards include:

Davis has directed National Endowment for the Humanities projects and served as Associate Dean of The Hartt School and Director of its Theatre Division.
